Bio

Samantha Rosenberg is a Boston-based dancer, choreographer, and educator. She received a dual BA in Dance: Performance and Choreography and Educational Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2020, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Samantha has been dancing since 2006 and has experience in a variety of styles, including jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, tap, and musical theater. She is passionate about both dance and education, and how they intersect to provide students with the tools they need to think critically, achieve their goals, deepen their kinesthetic understanding, and form long-lasting, supportive relationships.

In addition to teaching, Samantha is an active freelance dancer and choreographer. Her recent performance projects include dancing with Dance LAB under the direction of Libby Bullinger in works such as This Dance Means Something (2024)  and Surge (2023). She has also appeared in Weight of a Nation at Dance for World Community 2022 and Onward and Upward, a 2022 Dance Film. As a choreographer, her work spans contemporary, jazz, musical theater, and hip hop, with recent pieces for The Winsor School, Dana Hall School, and The Dance Academy of Siagel Productions. Samantha is also a guest artist and choreographer for various dance teams and intensives throughout the region.

Samantha is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and has attended several professional development courses and events, including those on the history of hip hop and using dance science to enhance curricula. Samantha’s work reflects a deep commitment to the transformative power of dance and education, continually evolving to meet the needs of her students and community.
